For forty years it stands, a beacon in the night,

A world-famous bar, where spirits take flight.

Parlays Bar, where the good times roll,

From 11 AM to 3 AM, it welcomes all souls

Through floods and through fire, it stood the test,

A resilient spirit and Lakeview’s very best

The neighborhood fave where friends come to meet

To celebrate life and worries retreat

From the young to the old, a diverse crowd,

In the heart of the city, where the music is loud.

Bartenders with flair, mixing drinks with finesse,

Parlays Bar, where memories coalesce.

In '05, Katrina tried to wash it away,

But Parlays stood strong, to this very day.

Then came the flames in 2021.

Yet Parlays rose, like the morning sun.

A launchpad for dreams, for bartenders bold,

From Parlays to fame, their stories are told.

Fortunes made, from the patrons they'd serve,

In that vibrant atmosphere, where fun is preserved

So here's to Parlays, the legend that endures,
